Adapt the task or ask for work support · S2.14
Adjust your workspace for comfort
Something about your position or workspace is competing with the task.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Notice one practical discomfort, such as a hard-to-read screen, a distant object, glare, or a position you want to change.
- Make one comfortable adjustment within your control, or identify equipment or help you would need.
- Try a small part of the task again and decide whether to keep the adjustment, change it, or pause.
An example
The text is hard to read. I’ll enlarge it rather than keep leaning toward the screen.
Reflect
What changed in comfort or ease, if anything?
Next time
Carry forward useful adjustments; you do not need to remain still or in one ideal posture.
