Choose comfort and preferences about touch · D1.8

Find a rest position that suits you

You would like to pause but do not know what kind of rest is comfortable.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Choose an ordinary resting arrangement available to you, such as sitting with support or reducing a distracting sound.
  2. Let breathing happen naturally; there is no need to force a rhythm or make your body relax.
  3. Notice whether the arrangement suits you and change it or stop if it does not.

An example

I sit in a supported chair and put the task aside for a moment.

Reflect

Was the arrangement comfortable, neutral, or unhelpful?

Next time

Keep the parts that suit you without making relaxation a performance goal.
