Prepare or review a support plan · S1.10
Make a present-day support menu
You want an easy-to-find list of options for difficult moments.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- List a few things you already know you sometimes find helpful, including practical help, company, privacy, or a familiar activity.
- For each option, note how to access it and whether it depends on another person's availability.
- Keep the list somewhere accessible and choose freely from it; you do not need to revisit difficult memories to make it.
An example
My list includes a quiet room, asking my friend to sit with me, and contacting my usual support person.
Reflect
Which options are actually available when you might need them?
Next time
Update the menu when an option no longer fits or a new source of support becomes available.
