Understand a barrier or low-energy day · D1.2

Choose one manageable activity on a low-energy day

You want to do something worthwhile but have limited energy.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Name one activity that matters to you and the energy or resources it would require.
  2. Choose a smaller version, support, or rest based on what is realistic now.
  3. Try the version you choose and note the effort it took, without expecting a mood change.

An example

I cannot manage a full tidy-up today, but I can put the items I need tomorrow in one place.

Reflect

Was the size of the activity a reasonable fit for today?

Next time

Adjust the task to your capacity next time rather than treating low energy as an untrue thought.
