Notice a thought without following it · D9.5
Give reflection a practical stopping point
You are thinking repeatedly about an issue without new information.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Write the question you are trying to answer.
- Identify whether a specific fact, action, or decision is available now.
- Address that item or choose a clear point for returning, then move attention to another activity.
An example
I cannot settle the schedule until I receive a reply, so I note the question and return when the information arrives.
Reflect
Did reflection produce a next step or repeat the same material?
Next time
Use support if the pattern remains difficult rather than diagnosing a brain network yourself.
