Plan meals and drinks · D10.8

Plan a few meals with what you have

You want fewer last-minute meal decisions without planning every meal in detail.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Check what food, preparation time, money, and equipment are available. Include any dietary needs you already follow.
  2. Choose two or three meal options you actually want and can prepare or obtain. Include a convenient backup for a busy day.
  3. List only what is missing. If you share meals, agree who will choose, shop, or prepare rather than assuming one person will do it all.

An example

“We have rice and frozen vegetables. I’ll add eggs to the list; soup is the backup. We’ll decide who cooks each night.”

Reflect

Which part of the plan was useful, and what was unrealistic or missing?

Next time

Use the next shopping or meal decision to revise the plan; no need to complete a perfect week.
