Plan meals and drinks · D10.13

Plan an enjoyable meal with what is available

You want meal planning to involve fewer last-minute decisions.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Choose a familiar meal that fits your preferences, available ingredients, budget, and any dietary requirements you follow.
  2. Check which ingredients you have and write only what you still need.
  3. Decide who will prepare it and what simpler alternative you can use if plans change.

An example

We choose a familiar rice dish, check the cupboard, and add the missing ingredients to the list.

Reflect

Did the plan fit the resources and preferences of the people eating?

Next time

Keep useful meal ideas without labeling foods or people as good or bad.
