Represent two sides of an internal conflict

Two concerns are hard to explain in one sentence.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

1. Give each concern a space on the page and represent it with words or images.
2. Add what each concern wants or protects, without making either a villain.
3. Look at the pair and write one question that could clarify the decision.

An example

One side shows time with friends; the other shows rest. The question is how long a visit would fit.

Reflect

Did the two spaces make the conflict clearer?

Next time

Use the question for practical reflection; the artwork need not resolve the conflict.
