Respond fairly to a mistake or setback · S11.9
Describe an attempt without attacking yourself
A difficult ordinary task did not go as you hoped.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- State what you attempted and what actually happened.
- Describe the difficulty and relevant constraints without labels such as weak or cowardly.
- Choose a practical adjustment, support request, or decision to pause; another attempt is not automatically required.
An example
I asked one question and then left because I was overloaded. I want a clearer plan before deciding what to do next.
