Invite connection and shared time · S1.12

Make a small invitation to connect

You would like more connection with someone and want to make a clear, manageable invitation.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Choose someone you would like to connect with and a form of contact that feels appropriate to the relationship.
  2. Make a specific invitation with room for them to decline or suggest another time.
  3. If you connect, share only what you want to share and make room to hear their response. Notice whether the interaction feels mutual.

An example

Would you like to have a short phone call this weekend? It’s okay if another time works better.

Reflect

How did the invitation fit the relationship, including your own boundaries and their response?

Next time

Choose whether to invite again, try another form of contact, or give the relationship space.
