Notice strengths and real support · S6.5

Notice what helped alongside what hurt

You want a fuller picture of a difficult day without being told to be grateful for it.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Name the difficult part plainly, without turning it into a lesson.
  2. Look for one thing that helped, was bearable, or remains possible. 'Nothing comes to mind' is an acceptable answer.
  3. Choose whether to acknowledge that support, make a request, or leave the reflection there.

An example

The meeting was upsetting. A colleague checked in afterward, and I would like to thank them.

Reflect

Could both parts of the day remain true?

Next time

Return to this only when the question feels useful, not as a positivity quota.
