Plan participation around current comfort needs

Ongoing discomfort affects an activity you want or need to do.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Name the activity and the practical difficulty you currently face, without judging yourself for it.
  2. Identify an accommodation, alternative, or support consistent with guidance you already follow.
  3. Choose whether to proceed, adapt, postpone, or seek further advice; this card does not replace a pain-care plan.

An example

I want to join the discussion but need a supported seat and permission to leave early.

Reflect

Did the arrangement respect both the activity and your current needs?

Next time

Revisit the arrangement when needs change rather than treating acceptance as a duty to endure.
